Cansu Yumuşak holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Middle East Technical University (METU) and a Master’s degree in Social Psychology from METU. During her Master’s studies, she conducted research on gender and morality. In this period, she also completed an undergraduate degree in Dramatic Writing from the Theatre Department of Ankara University, Faculty of Language, History and Geography. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the Academy of Economics and Human Rights in Warsaw. Between 2019 and 2021, she worked as a psychologist under supervision in the Key Refugee Groups project, implemented by the Red Umbrella Sexual Health and Human Rights Association in collaboration with UNFPA. During this time, she received comprehensive training in CBT, PTSD, post-migration processes, gender identities and sexual orientations, sexually transmitted infections, and living with them. She can provide services in both Turkish and English. She is also a volunteer member of the Child Rights Commission of the Human Rights Association Ankara Branch and a part of the Mek’an Stage theatre group.
